The Pack x Eddie Mosa is a limited edition collaboration for which all proceeds will go to a good cause.
This limited edition Essentials case is designed by Edo Maas (or Eddie Mosa): a Dutch art student and former cyclist for the Team Sunweb (now Team DSM) academy.
Edo was a very promising young rider, until a horrific crash in the U23 edition of the Tour of Lombardy ended his career abruptly. Due to the crash, Edo suffered a paraplegia and was unable to cycle again.
Edo always had had an interest in art: during middle school, he was continuously drawing in his notebooks and after a while, he also started printing shirts for his friends. After his crash, Edo found relief in art which offered him the necessary distraction from cycling.
Edo has a very outspoken style, focusing a lot on moving bodies in altered proportions. Edo draws inspiration from politics and uses his art to express his opinion on different topics.
For this collaboration, Edo wanted to use bold contrasting colours and a print that was unmistakeably a parody on the cycling culture.
All proceeds of this limited edition will go to a special cause: rehabilitation centre ‘De Hoogstraat’ for people who suffered from a paraplegia. With the proceeds, ‘De Hoogstraat’ will be able to organize adapted skiing trips.
Edo himself spend 5 months in this rehabilitation centre, and during his time there, he himself participated in one of these trips. He tells that the trip offered him a lot of perspective, showing him that he was still able to go on holiday, do amazing sports and that his disability wasn’t the end of the world. He now want others in a similar situation to be given that opportunity for perspective as well.
The outside dimensions of The Pack are 18 x 9 cm (7 x 3,5 inch). This makes it that all modern smartphones fit inside The Pack together with your other riding essentials!
